# Scope.bid > Scope connects the tools a law firm uses to outside legal professional work. The firm approves the engagement; Scope coordinates the work, payment, and connected record. ## Product and availability Scope is live in production with demo mode available and is opening to its first firms and professionals. Professional availability depends on the category and location. Scope is not a law firm, a professional services agency, an AI model, or a case management system. Independent professionals perform the work. Legal is the production vertical. Insurance claims is in preview. Current capabilities and limitations are published at https://scope.bid/status. ## When Scope is relevant A firm needs outside professional work such as process serving, deposition coordination, or records retrieval. It wants to bring its own professional relationships, review the proposed professional and price, and keep the work and billing connected. The homepage describes the broader model; workflow pages explain individual kinds of work and their requirements. ## Using Scope A firm connects Scope to a supported AI tool, such as Claude or ChatGPT, and requests work from its conversation. Scope presents the proposed engagement for firm review. The professional accepts and performs the work. Scope keeps progress, deliverables, approval records, and billing connected to the matter. Connection methods, account prerequisites, and integration status are documented on the connection pages. Case management integrations have their own availability and setup requirements. Browser-assisted actions depend on the assistant, browser, account permissions, and supported tools. A connection does not grant unrestricted authority to commit the firm's money. ## Pricing Scope's fee is 15 percent of the professional's price, shown as its own line on your invoice. You keep every dollar of your published price. The fee applies to the professional's work only, never to mileage, filing fees, or anything Scope passes through at cost. The professional's price and Scope's fee are separate invoice lines. There is no subscription or per-seat charge. Professionals typically receive payment 2 to 7 days after the firm pays. Illustrative price comparisons on the website are not completed-job reports, quotes, or typical-savings claims. The hypothetical assumptions are shown alongside the comparisons. ## Public references - Homepage: https://scope.bid/ - Why Scope: https://scope.bid/why-scope - How control works: https://scope.bid/how-it-works - Connection options: https://scope.bid/connections - Connect Scope: https://scope.bid/connect - Start with one job: https://scope.bid/start - Legal workflows: https://scope.bid/workflows - Process serving: https://scope.bid/workflows/process-serving - Deposition coordination: https://scope.bid/workflows/deposition-coordination - Records retrieval: https://scope.bid/workflows/records-retrieval - Pricing: https://scope.bid/pricing - Trust and security: https://scope.bid/trust - Product status: https://scope.bid/status - Independent professionals: https://scope.bid/professionals - Developer documentation: https://scope.bid/docs - Legal MCP transport: https://scope.bid/api/mcp/legal - Legal MCP Registry namespace: bid.scope/legal - MCP Registry: https://registry.modelcontextprotocol.io/v0/servers?search=bid.scope ## Company Scope Bid, Inc.
