Carrier-Readable Billing

LEDES 1998B export with UTBMS task codes, plus a signed carrier feed that turns any matter's spend into a page a carrier can read.

What it does

Scope exports awarded-vendor spend as a LEDES 1998B file, the format carriers and e-billing systems expect, with UTBMS task and activity codes applied per dispatch.

The carrier feed is a signed, time-limited URL a firm hands a carrier. It renders the matter's dispatches, totals, audit trail, and download buttons as a clean read-only page, with a paired JSON API for programmatic consumers. The carrier needs no Scope account.

Every export and every feed view is recorded on the matter's audit log.

Why it matters

Insurance-defense and claims work lives or dies on carrier-readable billing. A LEDES file with correct UTBMS codes is the difference between a clean submission and a kickback.

The carrier feed answers the question a carrier procurement person actually asks - explain every dollar on this matter - with one link, instead of a back-and-forth of spreadsheets.

How to use it

Generate a LEDES file or mint a carrier-feed token from the matter. The feed URL renders the HTML page; the JSON API and LEDES export carry the same data.
